The Challenge
As a social housing company, Woonsprong is responsible for housing in Bredene, Gistel, Ichtegem, Middelkerke, Ostend, and Oudenburg. On July 1, 2023, five different entities merged into a single housing company, Woonsprong, with approximately 90 employees spread across two offices.
"Before the merger, employees from the different organizations mainly used their own cars for work trips. They received a mileage allowance," says Sarah Deprez, head of the Facility team at Woonsprong. To reduce these costs, Woonsprong has been using 21 vehicles assigned to one of the two sites since the merger.
"With 90 employees having access to our pool vehicles, it is not easy to maintain a clear view of the available vehicles," says Sarah Deprez.
The Solution

The buzzer alerts the driver in case of forgetfulness. Thus, a driver is assigned to each trip, and discussions about recharging electric cars or traffic fines are a thing of the past.
Although not all employees have received a personal iButton, flexible access to vehicles is possible. "Our employees can request an iButton that is temporarily assigned to them, allowing them to use the pool vehicles," says Sarah Deprez.
